How much does it cost to buy a business?
Work out how much money you need, taking into account the price, extra costs and a reserve for the first few months.
Enter the figures for the calculation
You enter the amounts for taxes and professional fees yourself. If inventory and assets are already included in the price, do not add them a second time.
How it works
We add the extra costs and the money to set aside for the first few months to the price of the business. We compare the total with the funds you have to work out how much is missing. We also show you how much you can put toward the purchase itself, after setting aside the other costs.
A real example
A price of €100,000 with €65,000 of costs and reserve requires €165,000. If you have €120,000, €45,000 is left to cover.
Frequently asked questions
Is the listing price all I will spend?
It may not be. Inventory, professional fees, works and an initial reserve depend on the agreements and on your needs. Only enter the items not already included in the price.
Is the missing amount the loan I can get?
No. It is the amount you still need to find, through a loan, other funds or a different agreement with the seller. The bank will decide separately whether to lend it to you.
